Holland College Open House - Application Fee Waived!

  • February 1st - Holland College Open House - Holland College Open House is Saturday February 1st, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm ( Storm date Saturday, February 8th).  Bring your application and transcript and Holland College will waive the application fee.   There will be on-the-spot acceptances for selected programs.  Students must register by 12:00 midnight on January 31st. University Visits to Bluefield High School to answer students questions!

  • February 5th - Mount Allison University - Main Lobby @ 11:40 am
  • February 10th -  Mount Saint Vincent University will be set up in the Reading Room at 11:40 am - Free On-The-Spot- Admissions!
  • February 10th - Saint Thomas University - Main Lobby @ 11:40 am
  • February 25th - UNB - Main Lobby @ 11:40 am

University Visits to Charlottetown, PEI

  • February 25th - Future UNB Student Event in Charlottetown - 7:00 pm Delta Prince Edward - Representatives from UNB  will be at the Delta Prince Edward at 7:00 pm to learn about UNB programs and academic options, as well as tips on preparing for university and getting the most out of your university experience.  There will be admission on the spot as well for certain programs. - Students must register prior to the 25th at:  Link to Register

UPEI Registration at Bluefield High School

  • March 24th - UPEI Registration at Bluefield High School - Students must sign up either in Student Services or by Signup Genius - LinkStudents must pay their deposit, two days prior to the 24th.  Students must bring their UPEI Student ID Number.

Opportunities & Trips

 

  • Marine Mammal Summer Camp - Saint Mary's University - Information and application available at smu.ca/marinemammalcamp.
  • January 23rd - Parks Canada will be setup in Bluefield's Main Lobby to answer questions and discuss student summer job opportunities with Parks Canada. Applications will be available at this time.
  • January 31st - Application Deadline -The RCMP again is hosting a National Youth Engagement week in DEPOT and one student from PEI will be chosen to go.   • January 31st - Girls Expeditions  - Applications now available online LINK 
  • Girls on Ice to Switzerland 2020 will open February.
  • February 5th - Dalhousie will be offering two Financing your Education sessions.  Student can join Dalhousie  online on February 5, or in-person on February 12 in Dartmouth, N.S. The sessions will be led by financial aid and scholarship experts and will help students understand the options for financing their education. Sessions will also cover budgeting tips, how to apply for entrance awards and more.  Student event promotion package. The package includes downloadable digital and print-ready materials, plus suggested copy for social media and your school's website, which can be found below.   • February 7-8th - Mount Allison University - Two days of coding, workshops free food and more - Link to sign up Students must register free by January 17th at mtahacks.ca

Contests

  • Pink Shirt Campaign - PEI Crime Stoppers 2020 Anti-Bullying Contest - This year the contest will focus on the Pink Shirt Campaign.  Students are are being asked to promote awareness, understanding and openness about the problem of bullying and to commit to stand up against bullying.  Students who wish to compete should submit a design for the 20201 PEI Pink Shirt.
