The PEI Healthy Lunch Program food is now being placed on tables in front of Mike Birt’s Office (Youth Worker) at 11:30 am.  (Cutlery not provided)  Student volunteers are there to assist you. All lunches not picked up by Noon are taken up to Student Services Room 277, second floor.  Students must pick up their lunches by 12:00 or they are given out to others who forgot or need a lunch.  If you are not sure if a lunch has been ordered for you, please check with your home.  A lot of lunches have not been picked up so we are asking students to double check at home!

Healthy School Food Program

We have some exciting news to share with you all; the province’s new Healthy School Food Program will be rolling out this fall.

Healthy, nutritious food is important for student achievement. Working with the Government of Prince Edward Island, we want to ensure that nutritious lunches are available to as many students as possible.

The Healthy School Food Program will provide an opportunity for families to order healthy lunches five days a week. Meals will be prepared and delivered directly to schools at lunchtime by local food service providers. Nut-free, gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegetarian options will be available.

The new Healthy School Food Program will be Pay What You Can.

As of today, families can now prepare for the upcoming school year by registering for the program here: www.peischoolfood.ca.

Once you’ve registered, you will receive your login and password via email, along with a welcome information package between September 1 -7, 2020. This username and password will allow you to login to the ordering platform once it is active. Therefore, registration is required to participate.

If a family needs to reach support staff, they can by email at peischoolfood@edu.pe.ca or by calling 902-438-4895.

ONLY INCLUDE IF YOU ARE RUNNING ANOTHER PROGRAM-The Healthy School Food Program will run alongside our school’s existing Chartwells lunch program.
